The state track meet is at the Eastside Center in East Peoria. Directions are attached.

When does my child compete?
An itinerary is attached for the events on Friday and Saturday.

When do the athletes leave and return to Somonauk?
We will leave at approximately 9 a.m. Friday morning and return Saturday evening. Parents/family members are invited to attend the “send off” that will take place on the south side of the middle school at approximately 8:45 a.m. The entire school will recognize and send off our athletes as they enter the bus and leave the school.

Where will my child stay Friday night?
We have reserved rooms for the coaches and athletes. We are staying at the Baymont Inn & Suites located in Peoria. The address is 2002 West War Memorial Drive and the phone number is (309) 686-7600. Rooms are still available.

Will meals be provided?
Yes. The school will provide money to cover meals for the athletes and coaches. You may want to send some money with your child for souvenirs or extra food.

Is there any other information that I should know?
Somonauk athletes are to stay in their rooms with their teammates. Families are invited to stay in the same hotel as their child.

Lucy 4 x 200 M Relay & 4 x 400 Relay (Both 1st place)
Molly 4 x 200 M Relay & 4 x 400 Relay (Both 1st place)

The 4 x 200 Relay, 4 x 400 Relay, 1600 Run were all first places in the sectional. The athletes will be competing in the state competition, this next weekend, in Peoria. Congratulations on this fantastic accomplishment.
