Mr. Korso is excited to join the Somonauk High School community this year, and he has been a school counselor for 10 years. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Master's Degree in School Counseling from Lewis University. Mr. Korso completed additional advanced coursework in clinical mental health counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. Mr. Korso's counseling philosophy, in part, focuses on meeting students where they are and helping them discover their own solutions to be successful individuals both inside and outside of the school environment. Mr. Korso works with all high school students. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, walking, doing yardwork and watching movies with his wife, dog and two cats.

Mrs. Pillen has been a school counselor for over 30 years.  She retired last year from Rochelle Township High School as the counseling department chairperson.  Mrs. Pillen enjoyed working with curriculum, school climate, placement issues, and articulation between departments.  As much as she enjoyed those duties, Mrs. Pillen’s true passion belongs to working directly with students.  Helping students with academic AND social emotional issues is her top priority, and she is looking forward to continuing that work here at Somonauk High School.  Mrs. Pillen works with the senior class and is happy to be a resource regarding any senior year issues and post-secondary goals and planning.

Mrs. Lippoldt is the Director of Student Services and leads the CUSD 432 Special Education and Student Services staff and programming.
