State of the District Event!
On Thursday March 4, Somonauk Schools will host our first ever “State of the District” event. The purpose of this event is to inform the parents and community about the priorities of the district as well as the changes that we are most proud of. In these difficult economic times it is critical for us to keep student learning at the forefront of all we do. In order to prepare for this event we are asking all participants to pre- register online (click here to register). Please complete all event registration online for the event by Monday, February 15th. This will allow us to balance sessions and determine which break out sessions are most popular. Each participant will attend the Professional Learning Communities session and then please choose other sessions based on your interest. On March 4th, registration will begin at 5:45 p.m. with sign-in and participants will receive their schedule for the evening.

ATHLETES: Sports Boosters is extending the time to turn in your money and/or unsold tickets for the Pork Chop dinner to Tuesday, February 9th. Please turn the money and/or unsold tickets to the office as soon as possible. Remember for every 5 tickets you sell, your name gets put in a drawing to win $100!

Pre-School Screening is In March
Kindergarten registration and pre-school screening will be held March 11th and 12th. Screening is required for a child to be considered for the Somonauk School District Pre-Kindergarten Program. Please CALL in February to make an appointment. (815) 498-2314 (ext.233) Developmental screenings for children aged 0-3 will be available on March 11th. |
