MUBs! Monsters Under the Bed! Today, second grade wasn't too afraid to learn about MONSTERS from guest author, Virginia and illustrator, Nancy! The students learned how to become a writer and how many steps are involved to drawing the pictures. It takes lots of practice and using your imagination!

The JRW PTO collected over 200 lbs
of battle caps to exhange and purchase a bench to place near Max Zimmerlein's memorial tree in front of JRW. Max passed away on MAY 23, 2009.

Today we had our Walk to School Day! Over 200 people joined us and walked. What an amazing turnout. Thank you to Heartland Bank for the snacks and everyone’s enthusiasm. We’ll do it again in the spring.
