Your greens sales are due THIS Friday, November 3rd. While it is a Somonauk Seminar Day and you have an early out, Hammett and McMahan are in school ALL DAY! Make sure to turn in the forms and have checks payable to SHS or Somonauk High School!
The SLIP students met at the Aurora Fire Museum and then spent the day in Aurora meeting the Mayor, local business owners, the public library, and even received a private tour of an art gallery! This experience provided the students with opportunities to engage in professional conversation, practice teamwork in map reading and how to maintain appointments, and collaboration for their presentations to their peers.
We are excited to share that on Monday, November 6 we will be hosting a parent education night from 6:30-8:30 pm in the SHS gym. Detective Richard Wistocki, nationally recognized High Technology Cyber Crimes Specialist, will be presenting proactive strategies, expert insight, and invaluable resources designed to support our adult community in understanding technology and how it relates to the safety of our children. This is a night that you will not want to miss! A special thank you to Somonauk Education Foundation for funding this educational night for our adults as well as for our middle and high school students during that day.
Somonauk School District #432 will be hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Somonauk High School gymnasium. The program will start at 9:00 a.m. We would like to invite any U.S. Veteran or any current service member to be recognized.
