Community Information - Law Enforcement Training: On Friday March 31, during Spring Break, our Somonauk & Leland Police officers along with other Law Enforcement Officers from surrounding counties will be training at Somonauk High School. We just want you all to be aware in case you see a number of law enforcement vehicles around the building that day. The 8th Grade Girls Basketball team concluded their season in the Junior Ten tournament with a 34 - 15 loss to the #2 Seed Hinckley-Big Rock Royals. Our team left it all out on the floor but they weren't able to hold off the Royals attack. Kaydence Eade led the Bobcats with eight points, eight rebounds, three steals and three blocks. All of her statistics led the team in those categories. Destiny Salgado chipped in with three points, Brooke Bahrey and Riley Lackey capped off the scoring with a bucket apiece. Bahrey and Avery Charles each had two steals and Salgado pulled down four rebounds. The team as a whole improved immensely as the season went on and will be a solid group for years to come at the high school level.
